During my 30 year career in financial services, I have learned the importance of developing a very clear understanding of my client’s needs and desires as it relates to financial matters. I do this through lengthy consultations with each of my client's so that I can focus my recommendations based on your financial goals and my perception of your personal risk tolerance.
Having gathered all pertinent information from my client, I create a financial plan tailored for your specific situation. I then, using the entire array of investments at my disposal as an independent financial planner, construct a portfolio for the individual. After reviewing the portfolio with my partner (also a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™) I present it to the client for approval. Only after the client and I agree on the investments do we put the plan into action. Our follow up meetings keep you focused on the long term nature of planning, not the near term gyrations of the financial markets.
In addition to my professional designation (CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™), I have several securities licenses including: Series 24, General Securities Principal; Series 7, General Securities Representative; Series 63, Uniform Securities Agent State Law Exam; Series 65, Uniform Investment Advisor Law Exam. I also hold an Insurance License issued by the State of Florida for Life Insurance and Variable Annuities.
I am also very active in the community. Currently, I am the past President of Stop! Children’s Cancer and the past President of the North Central Florida Estate Planning Council. Additionally, I serve on the Community Foundation of North Central Florida, Professional Advisor Council. I have served on the Board of Directors of the Rotary Club of Gainesville, as a gubernatorial appointee for the Board of Directors of the Early Learning Coalition of Alachua County. I am a past member of the Board of Directors of Haile Plantation Golf and Country Club.
My wife, Nori, and I have three grown children. We enjoy tennis, hiking in the Rocky Mountains and snow skiing. I also make time for the frustration of the game of golf!
